Connecting a custom domain to ClickFunnels enhances branding and builds trust. This guide provides an objective, step-by-step process using the official ClickFunnels interface and DNS settings.

Why Use a Custom Domain?

A personalized domain—such as www.yourbrand.com—delivers professionalism, consistency, and trust. ClickFunnels allows users to integrate their own domains or subdomains directly into funnels or Site & Blog, elevating brand presence.

Automated Domain Setup (Recommended)

Log into ClickFunnels and go to Workspace Settings → Domains. Click Connect existing domain. Enter the domain or subdomain (e.g., www.example.com or funnels.example.com) and click Continue.  Choose whether to redirect the root domain to the www version.  Click Start domain setup and follow the automated flow to connect with your DNS provider.  Allow time for DNS propagation—this can take up to 48 hours. Verify records via ClickFunnels and add SSL. Domain status will move to “Securing” and then “Connected.” 

Manual Domain Setup

If automatic setup is not feasible:

In Workspace Settings → Domains, click Connect existing domain. Enter the domain and proceed to obtain DNS records.  In your DNS provider’s dashboard, add: A CNAME record pointing www to target.clickfunnels.com A TXT record for verification Email-related DNS records for sending custom email addresses  Return to ClickFunnels, click Validate Ownership, and wait for the green confirmation. Propagation may take up to 48 hours.  ClickFunnels will then issue and install SSL automatically. 

Registrar-Specific Notes

ClickFunnels supports most registrars. Common examples include:

GoDaddy: Add or edit a CNAME record for www, point to target.clickfunnels.com, then enable forwarding from root domain with a 301 redirect. Add SSL in ClickFunnels.  Namecheap: Add a CNAME for www pointing to target.clickfunnels.com, set up a URL Redirect Record for root to www, and enable SSL.

Assigning Domain to Funnels or Site & Blog

To assign to the Site & Blog app: Under Site settings, select the newly connected domain.  To assign to a specific funnel: Navigate to Funnels → settings → select domain and enter the path (e.g., /, /Webinar). Click Update Funnel.

Use www or a subdomain to avoid conflicts with existing websites.  SSL is included in every plan—no external purchase needed.  Adding forwarding for the root domain helps ensure accessibility.
